Dogbolter!!!
Labels 1 and 2

Bottled and second brewing 12.09.09

We had a lot to do tonight. Pat, Olivia, Juan, Mark, Chris and Joanna went to work. We bottled our first 2 batches: the Irish Stout/Amber mix, and the Amber/Lager Mix.
Meanwhile, we started 2 new batches:
1) A porter from a kit ( steep 6 oz Chocolate Grain Mailt, then add 1 can liquid dark malt extract, 2 lbs Malto-Dextrin, 2lbs dry malt extract. Hops: U.K> First Gold)
2) Our experimentation with wheat beer: 2 cans 3.3 lb liquid wheat malt extract; 1st hops: Willamette; 2nd hops: Cascade; in bucket, added slices from 2 clementines, 1 pear, and one lemon
Art Beer
So, we have lots of ideas about making beer.
- First of all, we’ll serve our beer at The AS in The AS events.
- And, for a small donation, you can take home some beer–you can support the art school and drink some awesome beer!!
- Also, we need people to help us make great labels and packaging.
- Every time we bottle, we’ll be making more, and experimenting, too.
Secondary fermentation
After a week, I transferred our beer into carboys:

They each tasted pretty good!
Our first batch(es)
On Wednesday, November 18, Mark, Pat, Juan, Amelda and I made our first 2 batches of beer–5-1/2 gallons each. We made an Irish Stout/amber and a lager/amber.
